I worked in the signal dept. for the Milwaukee for a couple of years in the middle '60's. That was long enough to get it into my blood. My wife didn't like the idea that I was working 500 plus miles from home most weeks and we had very short weekends. It's great to see someone keeping her memory going.

The Grand Opening of the Wells Minnesota Depot will have it's Grand Opening on 8/20 of the completely renovated Depot. Does anyone have information or pictures of my grandpa, Raymond Burnett that was the Depot Agent there for 45 Years. It was an Milwaukee Road all through his career.

Larry Bunce, son of Ed Bunce--Milwaukee Road engineer. Kid memories of the travel on the 1950's Olympian Hiawatha from Milwaukee to LaCrosse are my highlight. Eating in the diner (Traveller china and silver), cab rides in the diesels (110MPH west of Portage) and the Skytop observation, are vivid.
I need help obtaining original Hiawatha dishes(Blue & gray in Bow/Arrow) and Tip-Top-Tap car, Dulany dishes(2-tone green rectangles). I also collect engineering drawings/vellums of structures, track and rolling stock. I will purchase these items.
